Dignity is what the rabbit needs. Karma is what the magician gets. In the end, they both got they want. At first look, I feel like I'm watching Ratatouille. Because the character looks like part of the movie. So I thought, the people behind Ratatouille is also behind Presto. The best about this movie for me is the lighting. Everything in this short film shows it. From the magician's room til the stage.
This was the first Pixar short film I ever watched. I watched this when I was in my last year in high school. Anyway, the story was funny and cute. The large bird was soo clever. I love the feathers so badly. Especially in these parts 1:05-1:09 & 2:30. It looks so real.
Its the typical Jack and Jill story but then they didn't just fell down. Actually, Jack stepped on some fried bananas that caused him to tumble at the same time grabbed Jill's shoulder that made her came tumbling after. At the end, it was the fault of the banana boy who threw his left over fried bananas on the ground.
In coming up with the film, somehow, I learned how it is to do a short film. From the story, storyboard, and shooting. But it was not enough. Since I wasn't part of the staff behind the cameras, I don't know what are their responsibilities and what will they do, because I was playing the part of Jill but still, there I experienced how it is to be directed by people on how will we do it and how it should be. I realized that time is really important, and every second counts.
I learned that not everything you do makes you happy and you will realize it later on because some things are just not meant for us but sometimes, we will get used to it and eventually be happy with what we're doing. When Barry tried to convince the other bees to make honey again and get their jobs back, it strike me the most when he was aired live on television telling something while trying to fly a plane because it inspired the bees to make honey again and re-pollinate.
